Cargo Bay Series 4- Expansion 3

Happy Sunday, brothers and sisters.

This is a mixed set. It contains three new object families, a transporter pad in two sizes, and two transporter consoles. Cargo Module 20 is a classic big barrel from TNG. This is the barrel Lore can be seen tossing at Data in the classic episode "Datalore" (1x13). Module 21 is another classic TNG container: the yellow cargo drum Geodri and Beverly can be seen pushing around is "Disaster" (5x5). Module 22 is a classic TNG-style chemical cannister.

As always, each object family takes advantage of the repository technique. This means that the same set of recolors can be used on any object in the set. To make a recolor, just extract a new recolor from the master objects and voila! You´ve recolored the whole set. My main complaint about the repository technique is that if something happens to the master object, all the other object in the set become useless. I get frustrated by creators who don't explain this clearly in their posts. You have to re-download the entire set again. Not in this case. All the objects are clearly labeled MASTER or SLAVE, both in the .package's title and in the CTTS (in-game catalog description) so that you don't accidentally delete the wrong object.

Note: all files have been Compressorized.

Cargo Module 20

A big TNG-style barrel. It comes in one size and varoius heights, freestanding and shelved.

Note: The contents texture (the one inside the open barrels) is slaved to Cargo Module 2. You need at the least the master object from the set to make it appear correctly. Find it here: Cargo Bay Series 4

This is a big barrel. The ribs clip ecver-so-slightly when the barrel is placed adjacent to a wall. It doesn´t fit a standard barrel rack. I had to create two new sizes, BarrelI and BarrelII. They require a special barrel rack (See below).

Details:
Price: Standard §400, tall §800
Polys: Open 1760, Closed 1568 (medium poly)
Recolorable subsets: base (matte) and contents (matte, invisible)
16 objects, 7 recolors

Cargo Module 21

A big TNG-style barrel. It comes in one size and varoius heights, freestanding and shelved.

Note: The contents texture (the one inside the open barrels) is slaved to Cargo Module 2. You need at the least the master object from the set to make it appear correctly. Find it here: Cargo Bay Series 4

This one is also too big for a standard barrel rack. It comes in BarrelI and BarrelII.

Details:
Price: §700
Polys: Open 1360, closed 1136 (medium poly)
Recolorable subsets: base (matte) and contents (matte, invisible)
7 objects, 9 recolors

Cargo Module 20

A small TNG-style chemical container. It comes in two sizes and varoius heights, freestanding and shelved.

Just a small chemical container, like the ones appering throughout TNG. You can use move_objects on and boolprop snapObjectsToGrid false to fit several containers together in the same tile.

Details:
Price: Standard §200, tall §300
Polys: 1340 (medium poly).
Recolorable subsets: base (matte)
16 objects, 9 recolors

Large Stand-alone Barrel Rack

A special rack for holding big barrels. As seen in TNG cargo bays.

Details:
Price: §500
Polys: 274 (low poly).
Recolorable subsets: base (matte)
9 recolors

Round Cargo Transporter

Another TNG-style transporter pad as seen in several TNG cargo bays. Comes in standard (2x2) and 3x3 sizes. The transporter base is set at height Shelved1, so anything you can put on a bottom shelf, you can put on the transporter pad.

Details:
Price: Standard §1000, 3x3 §2000
Polys: 494 (low poly).
Recolorable subsets: base (matte)
9 recolors

Cargo Transporter Consoles

Two TNG-style cargo transporter consoles. Both are centered on three tiles and based on my Consoles Series 5. There are two skilling options: Transport Cargo (mechanical) and Scan Cargo (logic). Console 2 is slaved to Console 1, so the same recolor can be applied to both

Details:
Price: Console 1 §1500, Console 2 §1200
Polys: Console 1 805, Console 2 477 (low poly).
Recolorable subsets: base (matte)
9 recolors

Here are a couple of pics of Console 1 in action:

Medkits!

This is a small side project I've been working on. It's a set of accessories based on Cargo Module 19 (a deco object from THIS post). I'm still relatively new to accessory making and it took me about six tries to get the mesh right. I made several Starfleet-style recolors:an engineering toolkit, a case for scientific equipment, and a general-purpose case. Like most of my recent creations, its main purpose is for storytelling/screenshots, but it could concievably be used for regular gameplay as well.

Note: even after several attempts to re-mesh the mesh file, the top corner of the case still clips slightly into the sim's thigh when the sim stands naturally with arms at sides. Not recommended for larger (SBB, LBB, CPU, AG, BBG, etc.) sims.

This is how the cases look in Bodyshop:

This is how it looks in-game:

A note about posing:
When walking, the clipping is barely noticeable. This is also the case with most natural-ish, standing poses. I strongly using recommend NisNivis's Medical Posebox in conjunction with this accessory. The best combination I've found so far is one each of Hold Dermal Regenerator.../Hand Only and Hold Thrombic Modulator.../Hand Only. This turns the wrist slightly outward and closes the fingers.

That's all for now. Happy simming!

Cargo Bay Series 4- Expansion 2

This is a big set, but only includes two object families. Cargo Module 18 is Olemantiker´s classic Space Center cargo box, resized and with a lot of new color options. Cargo Module 19 the most awesome case you´ll ever put in your game (See below for details).

As always, each object family takes advantage of the repository technique. This means that the same set of recolors can be used on any object in the set. To recolor, just extract a new recolor from the master objects and voila! You´ve recolored the whole set. My main complaint about the repository technique is that if something happens to the master object, all the other object in the set become useless. I get frustrated by creators who don't explain this clearly in their posts. You have to re-download the entire set again. Not in this case. Cargo Module 18

Olemantiker's Space Center cargo boxused with permission, scaled, moved, and slaved. Comes in 2 sizes, freestanding and shelved. The original object can be found HERE.

Details:
Price: §750
Polys: 836 (low poly)
Recolorable subsets: frame (matte) and panels (matte)
12 objects, 9 recolors

Cargo Module 19

A cargo case. It comes in four distinct sizes and has a variety of Starfleet-themed recolors (perfect for medkits, toolkits, etc.). Standard, Open is the master object. All the sizes are mix-and-match and their heights line up with each other (except the upright cases), so the arrangements you can make with them are limited only by your imagination. Please note:

Standard: a big, squarish case. Its height is equal to two medium or three long/slim cases.

Medium: has the same length and width as the standard case, but only half the height. E.g. you can start a stack with Medium, Base and Medium, H1 and place Standard, H1 on top of them.

Slim: a scaled-down case. The length and width are both shorter than standard and medium cases. Three slim cases are exactly as high as a standard case.

Long: same width and height as the slim case, but twice as long. Three long cases are exactly as high as a standard case.

Details:
Price: Standard §400, Medium §200, Slim §150, Long §220
Polys: Open 1284, Closed 1106 (medium poly)
Recolorable subsets: base (semi-gloss) and cargo label (matte)
95 objects, 11 recolors

Cargo Bay Series 4- Expansion 1

Happy Saturday, all.

This is a small set, intended to supplement my latest cargo bay series. It includes 3 new cargo modules and a smaller barrel rack to supplement the shelving units.

Each object family takes advantage of the repository technique. This means that the same set of recolors can be used on any object in the set (There are some caveats to this. Please see the details in each section).

Cargo Module 15

Classic VOY-style 2x1 cask. The band and the label are recolorable. The materials on this one are slightly different than Module 12; this one is completely semi-gloss (very low refelection) whereas the lid part of Module 12 was matte. Otherwise, the two modules are identical.

Important: This object is the master for Module 16. You need at least the master object for module 16 to appear correctly.

Details:
Price: §750
Polys: 1392 (medium poly)
Recolorable subsets: body/bands (semi-gloss) and cargo label (matte)
6 objects, 9 recolors

Cargo Module 16

Another VOY-style cargo container. It has dual compartments, most likely for isolating two different types of cargo.

Important: This object is completely slaved to Module 15.

Details:
Price: §750
Polys: 1064 (medium poly)
Recolorable subsets: base (semi-gloss) and cargo label (matte)
6 objects

Cargo Module 17

Romulan cargo cube. It comes in standard (1x2) and big (2x4) sizes. You need the master file to make all the others work.

Details:
Price: Standard §750, Big §3000
Polys: 1604 (medium poly)
Recolorable subsets: Barrel/lid (matte) and liquid (matte, invisible)
13 objects, 9 recolors

Short Barrel Rack

A 2-tier barrel rack. For when you just don't need so many barrels.

Important: These racks are slaved to the 1x1 shelving unit. You need to get them from THIS POST to make the racks appear correctly.

Details:
Price: Standard §300/ section
Polys: 1x1- 1152
1x2- 2024
1x3- 2896
1x4- 3768
Recolorable subsets: Base (matte)
4 objects
