plus several recolors of the astrometrics and stellar cartography displays

I have spent massive amounts of time playtesting this set. I tested each object individually, and hammered out all the kinks. As far as I've seen, there are no glitches and everything works exactly as it should as far as slave textures, joint alignment, placement, etc. please feel free to report any issues.

A few notes about the project: Series 4 is a bit of a misnomer. Prior to this set, I've only made two other modular furniture sets. But as it complements the Cargo Bay Series 4 set, it seemed incongruent to name it Series 3. Unless otherwise noted, objects are base-game (See more specific descriptions below).

The focus of this set is to create realistic crew quarters, kitchens, bridges, etc. The furniture is designed to be stacked together, giving your science labs a built-in look, for more realistic sets and backdrops. As I am more of a storyteller/ dollhouser than an actual player, my main focus was on how good the objects look in-game, but they have been thoroughly playtested and work well for players who focus on gameplay, too.

Science Lab Set 1 is designed to be plug and play. All of the furniture has already been modded (slots have been moved, footprints have been fixed, etc.) so you can just just drop the objects down into the game. No rotation or cheats necessary.

Please read carefully: The single bed and utility chair from the crew quarters set, Desk A from the ready room set, and the consoles and panels from Bridge Set 1 provide some of the master textures for this set. As the repository technique is used, I have included the repository objects so you don't get flashing blue textures in your game. To keep the size of the file reasonable, THE RECOLORS FOR THESE THREE OBJECTS AREN'T INCLUDED. They can be downloaded from the RECOLORS THREAD.

Note: all files have been Compressorized.

Tables

Long lab tables. This is a remesh of my earlier Jupiter Station tables, but I think they look nicer. Great for specimens, lab equipment, etc.

Details:
Price: 6x1 §1000, 5x1 §900, 4x1 §800, 3x1 §700
Polys: 6x1 3476, 5x1 3320, 4x1 3164, 3x1 3008
Recolorable subsets: Base and multipanel
Egghead stuff: They work like regular tables. All slots are enabled.
• The multipanel subset is slaved to Ready Room Desk A (3x1), included.

Science Lab Shelves

Shelves for holding glassware, PADDs, lab equipment, etc. Cloned from the Le Morvan Kitchen Set by Moune.

Details:
Price: §300
Polys: Shelves A 200, Shelves B 284
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: Shelves A has 12 deco slots (3 per shelf), Shelves B has 9.
•The glass material is slaved to the science desk (below).

Physical Sciences Console

A working console that increases the logic skill and two different types of enthusiasm (if you have FT). As always, you'll need OFB for the anims. Displays A and B are slaved to the large top and bottom panels (respectively) on the right side of the 4-panel display from Bridge Set 1 (included).

Details:
Price: Base §1500, Display §500
Polys: Base 132, Display 52
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: The displays are deco place-anywhere objects. They can be stacked on top of the console base's lead tile.

Physical Sciences Sidebar

The sidebars had a severe slot referencing error preventing sims from serving food once the table was placed. The new version of the desks has corrected this. Please re-download.

A funky-shaped table, designed to connect to the base of the stellar cartography console (or the stellar cartography console, below) but it looks good seperately, too.

Details:
Price: §900
Polys: 388
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: The straight part of the table contains 2 slots. The angled part has an extended footprint.
• The panels are slaved to the 10-tile display from Bridge Set 1 (included).
• I fixed the footprint and object integirty six or seven times, but the sims will still walk through the object on its long axis. It's a minor nuisance.

Wall Console

This is the recessed wall console seen in Galaxy-class science labs. It looks best when positioned flush with a wall.

Details:
Price: Console §1000, Display §600
Polys: Console 176, 1-panel display 148, 2-panel display 176
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: The console is a 3-tile table. Just drop an invisible computer on top of one of the slots and you're good to go
The displays are deco place-anywhere objects. They can be stacked on top of the console base's lead tile.
• The console's panel material is slaved to the 5-panel console from Bridge Set 1. The 1-panel display is slaved to the 3-panel display from Bridge Set 1, and the 2-panel dispaly is slaved to the 4-panel display from Bridge Set 1. All master objects are included.

Recessed Wall Panels

These are stand-alone deco objects. They look best when positioned flush with a wall or used with other objects, like counters or bridge headers.

Details:
Price: §200
Polys: 176
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: Standard deco object. It's essentially a column
•The panel material is slaved to the 10-panel display from Bridge Set 1 (included)

Intrepid-Type Science Consoles

A set of round consoles, based on the science console found in Intrepid-type science labs. There are two skill-enabled consoles (logic) and a table (for placing invisible coputers)

Details:
Price: Small console §1000, Large console and table $1800
Polys: Console 3154, Table 2754
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: Sims can gain logic and two types of enthusiasm
•The panel materials are slaved to the 3-panel console from Bridge Set 1 (included).
•The consoles are slightly big and tend to clip if you place them next to a wall. The table clips slightly into the sims' thighs.

Small Standing Console

A small skilling console (sims gain logic). This is essentially a remesh of my Regula 1 console.

Details:
Price: §1000
Polys: 410
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: A small console that allows sims to skill logic and gain two types of enthusiasm.
•It clips ever-so-slightly when placed next to a wall.
• The panel texture is slaved to the panel from the bed base in the crew quarters set (included)

Advanced Diagnostic Analyzers

Two skill-enabled consoles that can be placed on tables or counters. Sims gain logic skill and two types of enthusiasm.

Details:
Price: §300
Polys: Analyzer A 78, Analyzer B 314
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: The Init BHAV has been edited so that the object can only be placed on surfaces (counters, tables, end tables, etc.).
• The panel material is slaved to the 3-panel display from Bridge Set 1 (included).

Astrometrics Display and Console

Based on the Intrepid-class astrometrics lab. The dispay is a deco object. The console allows sims to gain logic and mechanical skills and enthusiasm.

Details:
Price: Display §20,500, Console §1500
Polys: Display 2818, Console 628
Recolorable subsets: Base and display (display), Base and panels (console)
Egghead stuff: The display is a giant (9x5, 2-level)) deco object with a corrected footprint. It looks best completely enclosed. The display material is stand-alone; I've included some recolors for it.
• The console's panel material is slaved to the 5-panel console from Bridge Set 1 (included).

Stellar Cartography Console

Based on the Galaxy-class stellar cartography lab. The dispay is a deco object. The console allows sims to gain logic and mechanical skills and enthusiasm.

Details:
Price: Display §400, Console §1500
Polys: Display 3104, Console 932
Recolorable subsets: Base and display (display), Base and panels (console)
Egghead stuff: The display is a place-anywhere deco object with two recolorable subsets: the dome and the inner sphere. Both are in DXT3 format with transparency enabled, so you get a semi-hollow effect. Several recolors are included.
• The console's panel material is slaved to the 5-panel console from Bridge Set 1 (included).

Science Officer's Desk

A remesh of one of my earlier desks. It works like a 3x1 table.

Details:
Price: §700
Polys: 1200
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: Standard table
• The console's panel material is slaved to the 5-panel console from Bridge Set 1 (included).

Miscelaenous Furniture

A column TV, a lab table, a bookcase, and a chair. The table, bookcase, and chair are remeshes of my Jupiter Station set. The bookcase is cloned from leefish's Emptied Billy Bookcase and requires FT. It has 21 deco slots, perfect for holding PADDs, reference materials, deco objects, etc.

Details:
Price: Column TV §1500, Table §200, Bookcase §300, Chair §300
Polys: Column TV 404, Table 474, Bookcase 560, Chair 587
Recolorable subsets: Base (TV, table, and bookcase), Seat (chair)
Egghead stuff: Standard equipment here. The bookcase has 21 deco slots.

Lighting

Floor lamps, wall lamps, and table lamps.

Details:
Price: Floor lamps §400, Wall and table lamps §100
Polys: Floor Lamp A 3660, Floor Lamp B 3252, Lamp A 1344, Lamp B 1080
Recolorable subsets: Base and panels
Egghead stuff: They work like standard lamps; they can be turned on and off
•Since the lamp materials can't be slaved (at least not in any way I know), I've included 5 in-object color options for that material in each object.

Here's a few images of the bridges I put together using these objects (some of the objects are from other object sets):

Here are the downloads. I've included a collection file for ease in locating the objects.

    1. I'm glad you like them. The mongo astrometrics dome is one of my favorite objects in the set, but it was tricky to build.
