Modular Furniture Series 4- Build Set 1

First off, my apologies for the long, long, loooong dry spell. I just needed a break from simming for a while. It's been 2 1/2 months since I uploaded anything.

I've always meant to add build objects and walls and floors to match the modular furniture mega-set. The build objects and wall textures out there now just don't remedy that. Hopefully, this will at least partially resolve the issue. I have another set about halfway done and hope I can upload it soon.

There are 12 new pieces in this set (plus diagonal objects for the doors and arches), 8 walls, 8 floors, and recolors for the doors. The set includes:

As always, I have spent massive amounts of time playtesting this set. I tested each object individually, and hammered out all the kinks. As far as I've seen, there are no glitches and everything works exactly as it should as far as slave textures, joint alignment, placement, etc. Please feel free to report any issues.

A few notes about the project: Series 4 is a bit of a misnomer. Prior to this set, I've only made two other modular furniture sets. But as it complements the Cargo Bay Series 4 set, it seemed incongruent to name it Series 3. Unless otherwise noted, objects are base-game (See more specific descriptions below).

The focus of this set is to create unique sets as well as useful objects for buiding unique corridors, structures, etc. The build objects designed to be stacked together with other modular objects, giving your lots a built-in look, for more realistic sets and backdrops. This set can be mixed and matched with any other sets from Modular Furniture Series 4. As I am more of a storyteller/ dollhouser than an actual player, my main focus was on how good the objects look in-game, but they have been thoroughly playtested and work well for players who focus on gameplay, too.

Please read carefully: The single bed from the crew quarters set and the shelf panels from Sickbay Set 2 provide some of the master textures for this set.

As the repository technique is used, I have included the repository objects so you don't get flashing blue textures in your game. To keep the size of the file reasonable, THE RECOLORS FOR THESE  OBJECTS AREN'T INCLUDED. They can be downloaded from the RECOLORS THREAD.

Note: all files have been Compressorized.

Credits
Leefish for the amazing 1-tile sliding door, which I cloned the single doors from and of which I used part of the mesh.
Marvine for the animated ladder, which I based the ladder object from.

Columns

A set of columns, for supporting floors and creating architectural effects.

Details:
Catalog: Build mode/ misc. §100 (1-level column), §150 (Wide column), §200 (2-level column), §300 (3-level column)
Polys: 492 (1-level column), 1020 (2-level column), 1500 (3-level column), Various (connecting column)
Recolorable subsets: Base
Egghead stuff: Nothing special. They function exactly as Maxis columns do.

Doors and Arches

Functional doors and arches.

Details:
Catalog: Build mode/ doors. §100 (single arch), §200 (double arch), §300 (single door), §600 (double door)
Polys: 468 (single arch), 492 (double arch), 1280 (single door), 1328 (double door)
Recolorable subsets: Base, door
Egghead stuff: The 1-tile door is cloned from Leefish's sliding door, and works similarly.

Stairs

Two sets of stairs and a ladder, for going up.

Details:
Catalog: Build mode/ Stairs. §1000 (simple stairs), §1100 (paneled stairs), §500 (ladder)
Polys: 216 (simple stairs), 600 (paneled stairs), 1448 (ladder)
Recolorable subsets: Base and panel
Egghead stuff: The panel material uses the same TXMT as the chemical storage shelves from Sickbay Set 2, so you have several glass color options and several glowing color options to choose from. The ladder is cloned from Marvine's animated ladder, and has all the same animations.

Walls and Floors

A set of walls and floors to match the original base color for the set.

Details:
Catalog: Build mode/ Walls and floors. §8 (walls), §5 (floors)

  1. Oooh! Great set! I've recently started writing again, albeit at my usual snail-like pace, and have got some sets to build, so the timing of this is perfect. :D It makes me extra happy to see the doors and arches, because Lee's door is the only one I have in game that's truly Trek-looking (even if I also have some that look general enough that they can work if you don't look too closely).

    1. I'm glad you like it. I love love love Lee's door, and use it regularly. It's my favorite door ever. Unfortunately, the door as is wasn't a good match for my modular furniture stuff. In fact, it was a struggle to find build objects (and walls, floors, and the like) that were. So I tweaked it a little and made a completer set with diagonal objects (because I'm OCD like that) and here we are. Hopefully I'll have a second, non-Lee-based, build set up soon.

    1. I stopped using Box a while back; it's too unreliable. Most of my newer stuff only has links to Sim File Share.

I think the Box link will work, but there's a trick to it. Sunni wrote a good tutorial here:
