The Armory- Tourney Deco Objects

Happy weekend, all.

I had some family stuff to deal with in Colorado, but for the most part it's taken care of. I'm back, and anxious to get started creating and uploading again.

Originally, this set wasn't even part of the plan, and it came about in a roundabout sort of way. I decided I needed a decent lance and some lance poses for an upcoming chapter of my story/adult posebox project. There's a very old mesh by Rose, but I didn't like that it lacked detail and the recolors looked smeary. Also, it seemed a bit short to be used with Dragon Slave's horses. So I made a lance mesh. Then I made a mirrored lance mesh. Then I made about 20 jousting poses and a posebox. Then I decided if there was to be a jousting competition, there should be archery, melee, and unarmed poses, too. So I made four unique bows, four quivers, and a practice shield to combine with Nix's wooden swords. Then I mirrored the meshes so that they would be available for both sides. When all of this was done, I decided it would be cool to convert the objects to deco items for storytelling. I made a set of wood and metal racks to hold them up, and an archery target with some special effects to complete the set. And here we are.

The set includes two deco lances, four deco bows, four deco quivers, a stand for the lances, wall racks for the lances and bows, an archery target, and mad recolors, yo. The lances and racks are repositoried; the master objects are clearly marked in the file name and catalog description.

Credits:
The longbow mesh and texture are by 3dgenerator.

The hunter's bow mesh and texture are by x-n-a.

The shortbow and leather quiver mesh and texture are by 3dgenerator.

The simple bow, rugged quiver, and hardened quiver were converted from Skyrim by Lady Lochlane. I repositioned them so that they would work with the rack.

The hunter's quiver is by 3dgenerator.

The arrows mesh used in the quivers and on the archery target is by SynapticSim.

The base for the archery target is by Raynuss. I wasn't able to find a direct link to the object, but it's included in THIS lot.

The deco objects
The set includes two deco lances, four deco bows, four deco quivers, a stand for the lances, wall racks for the lances and bows, an archery target, and mad recolors, yo. The lances and racks are repositoried; the master objects are clearly marked in the file name and catalog description.

The stand and racks:
This is a special set of furniture with built-in slots that rotate and position the deco objects. The lance stand and lance rack have slots for three lances, and the archery rack has slots for two bows and two quivers. The racks must be placed against a wall. The two racks are slaved to the stand, and they share the stand recolors.

The archery target:
The target is a deco object with a special feature. There are six hidden sets of arrows (sharpshooter, marksman, expert, intermediate, novice, and qualifier) included with the target. The arrows can be enabled, and the color of the fletchings can be changed. This is a neat tool for storytellers.

To use the target, the sim simply selects on the object and chooses the arrows to enable and the color of the fletchings. Select none to hide that set of arrows.

Here's an example of the arrows, once enabled:

That's all for this set. Accessories and poses are soon to follow.

"Frasier" Fireplace

For my dear friend, StephSim.

I'm usually not big on requests, but when it's an old friend asking for a favor, how can I say no?

I present a simple, clean-looking modern-ish fireplace, inspired by the hit sitcom "Frasier" and based on Numenor's fireplace template. It can be found under Appliences/Misc. and will set you back §500. It has three deco slots on top for various small bawbees and nicknacks (or taller objects if you remove the ceiling). The quarter-round and wood textures are recolorable. The mirrored object is slaved to the original object, so any recolors will work for both objects. There's only the one texture for each right now, but I've included recoloring templates for all you creative types who want to give it a makeover.
